Admission to KCG College of Technology for undergraduate programmes is normally based on valid TNEA score as it is the major selection criterion. For postgraduate programs like MTech, a valid TANCET score is required. Direct admission without TNEA or TANCET may not be possible unless mentioned under a management quota or other special admission policies, if any.

With a score of 160.5 in TNEA, you have a good chance of securing admission to reputable colleges for B.Tech in Information Technology (IT). The exact college will depend on the cutoff trends for IT in the year of admission, which vary based on factors like the number of applicants and their scores.
Some colleges that might fall within this range include government-aided institutions and reputed private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. Typically, colleges like PSG Tech, Anna University-affiliated colleges, and SSN College of Engineering have higher cutoffs, so it's best to aim for mid-tier colleges if their cutoff trends match
