With a TNEA score of 155.5 and a 7.5% reservation, your chances of securing a seat in top engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu are moderate. Top institutions like Anna University's College of Engineering, Guindy, typically require higher scores, often above 195. However, your reservation status may improve your prospects. Admission chances vary yearly based on factors like seat availability and applicant performance. It's advisable to participate in the counseling process and consider a range of colleges to enhance your admission opportunities.

The online registrations for TNEA 2026 will start in May 2026. The TNEA counselling process includes several steps: candidate registration, certificate upload, allotment of random numbers, verification, release of the rank list, choice filling, seat allotment, confirmation of allotment, reporting to the College/TFC, and payment of fees. All of these steps are conducted online, except for the certificate verification, which must be done at the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Facilitation Centre (TFC).

If candidates have frozen the certificates, they cannot make any changes to them. As per instructions, once all certificates are uploaded click the “Freeze upload” button to complete your certificate upload process. In the popup window check the declaration and click “confirm” button to freeze your upload. Once the certificates are frozen the candidates cannot make any changes but can view the certificates uploaded and download it. Before confirmation, candidates can make changes.
