As per the previous analysis, in the UGC NET Paper 1; Research aptitude and DI can be considered difficult or challenging at times. Also, higher education system or environmental Science require to learn or memorize the facts, policies and is so time consuming. Where as Paper 2 is lengthy and subject specific. Questions are framed in such a way that it requires a deep knowledge or analytical understanding to solve such questions.

UGC NET exam is considered to be moderate to difficult in the overall difficulty level as per the experts. The syllabus of the exam is vast and a bit challenging to cover for the candidates. In depth subject knowledge is required to crack the examination. Frequent revision also plays an important role. Paper 1 is about the teaching or research aptitude and Paper 2 is focused on specialised subjects.

It is important to understand the core concept of the subject while preparing for the UGC NET exam. Generally, around 6 months with dedicated hard work is sufficient to crack the UGC NET exam as per the experts. It is also recommended to study for around three to four hours daily. Consistent revision and practice is also plays an important role in the preparation journey.

In General as per the subject expert, the overall difficulty level of the UGC NET exam is considered to be of moderate level. The NTA released the UGC NET 2025 exam schedule for the December session at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. On December 31 was the first exam in the first shift from 9 am to 12 pm. Subjects are listed below:
