UGC NET Dates

The NTA released the UGC NET 2025 exam schedule for the December session at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. On December 31 was the first exam in the first shift from 9 am to 12 pm. Subjects are listed below:

The NTA released the UGC NET 2025 December session exam schedule subject-wise at ugcnet.nta.nic.in on December 17. The detailed schedule is provided here on this page as well. 

The Commission released the UGC NET 2025 December session examination dates on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The exam was conducted from December 31 to January 7, 2025. The detailed schedule was also announced. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the December session of the UGC NET 2025 exam. The notification is not released yet. It is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor, the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and the admission to Ph.D.s in Indian universities and colleges.

For the UGC NET Home Science exam, the important dates vary with each cycle, as the exam is typically conducted twice a year (June and December). For example, the application period usually opens a couple of months before the exam month, lasting for about three to four weeks. The admit cards are released approximately ten to fifteen days prior to the exam date. The actual exam for the June session typically falls in the last two weeks of June, while the December session exams are usually in the first two weeks of December. Always refer to the official NTA UGC NET website for the precise and updated schedule.

The NTA released the UGC NET 2025 December session application form along with the notification 2025 on October 7, 2025.  It is advised to the candidates to fill out the correct details with utmost care in the application form. Any request for change in the particulars after the closure of the correction period will not be considered by NTA under any circumstances. Corrections sent by the candidate through Post/ Fax/WhatsApp/Email/by hand will not be entertained by NTA.

The UGC NET exam for the December session was conducted from December 31, 2025 to January 7, 2026. The dates were released by the NTA at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The admit card was also released at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. 

The UGC NET June 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted from 25 June, 2025 to 29 June, 2025. The NTA conducts the UGC NET exam in two sessions, namely June and December.
