As per the exam guidelines, candidates can apply for the exam with the subject which they had in post graduation or related to that subject. As you have done MBA in HR, so you can appear for UGC NET HRM or UGC NET Management but not for Economics. Candidates who are willing to appear in Upcoming CSIR NET exam should be well aware with the eligibilities and the latest notifications of the exam. As per the CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria, candidates should have passed post-graduation/4 years graduation with 55% (For General/OBC) or 50% (For ST/SC/PWD) marks from a government recognised institute. To appear for Junior Research Fellowship, you have to fulfill age criteria also I. e. your age must not be exceeded than 30 years (For General). Reserved categories candidates get the relaxation of 5 years.

The UGC NET exam is held two times in a year in month of June and December. The UGC NET exam is organized for selection of candidates for junior research fellowship award and assistant professor posts in universities and institutes. It is always beneficial to plan your study and prepare with proper schedule. Go through the complete syllabus and exam pattern for the exam. Solving the previous year papers and mock test will also help you to know the paper pattern and type of questions asked in the exam. You may find the previous year papers and mock test at online websites. The NTA has also provided a facility to give the mock test in online exam pattern mode. When it comes the difficulty, always remember it is a relative term, might be hard for you but easy for the one who cracked it. This exam requires regularity, so start early and be regular. Along with your subject do not take paper one for granted, it holds 100 marks. Revise the things on daily basis and be optimistic towards your preparation. The best mantra is using the fringes time, I mean let say commuting, do not waste this time. Everyone has 24 hours only. Keep your notes along and continue your UGC NET Preparation.
2-3 right things like right books, effective time management and right strategy will help you crack the exam in the very first attempt. Mostly UGC aspirants are working or too much occupied at their home. The best shot of the entire week, if you study daily for 2-3 hours, dedicate 6 hours a day on your weekends.
