Hello, The UGC NET Geography exam will consist of two papers (Paper 1 &2). Paper 1 (General Paper) is be common for all subjects but the syllabus of Paper 2 is different for each subject. Here are some books that most of the candidates like to prefer for NET Exam preparation -

Yes, you can appear for the UGC NET exam if you are in the final year of ME in Electronics. According to the National Testing Agency NTA guidelines, aspirants can apply for the exam with their post-graduation subject or related to that. UGC NET exam is conducted in 81 subjects in this year and Electronics is one of these subjects. So, you can apply for UGC NET Electronic Science. But, before applying for the exam must check out the UGC NET eligibility criteria whether you are eligible or not. To appear for the exam you have to score minimum 55% aggregate marks (for general) or 50% aggregate marks (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD).

The syllabus of UGC NET has been revised by the Commission including both the Papers. The upcoming UGC NET Exam Syllabus will be applicable from June 2019 session. So, now the candidates will face the updated syllabus (more than 40%) in exam. Paper 1 will be designed to test the aspirants teaching and research ability whereas Paper 2 will be based on subject that you choose. The syllabus of Paper 1 will be common to all subjects. If you want to score well in exam, then it is essential to make command over the Paper 1. Hope it help.

Opt for the subjcet that you love the most and are most passionate about and analyze the future work conditions, scope and growth prospects before taking admission
You can also opt for psychometric test comprising of Aptitude, personality and career interest to clear confusion.

According to the National Testing Agency NTA guidelines, aspirants can apply for the exam with their post-graduation subject or related to that. As MA English, MA Linguistic and English language background candidates can take common UGC NET English exam. But, before applying for the exam must check out the UGC NET eligibility criteria whether you are eligible or not? To appear for the exam, you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters, if you are from General Category or if they belong to OBC/SC/ST/PwD categories you should have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Hi Nitika,
The last date for registering for UGC NET was 30 march and fee payment is 1 april. If you have registered yourself then only thing you need to do is to pay fees. But if you have not registered Then you are late but keep checking the NTA website the date of registration may extend.

Yes, you need to provide a photo with white background. It is mandatory. Please note that it should not be a selfie photo. Try to provide a studio photo.
