Yes, you can appear for UGC NET environmental science according to your post-graduation subject. Make sure that you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks if you belong to General category or if you belong to OBC/SC/ST/PwD category then you will get the relaxation in percentage of aggregate marks. According to guidelines of NET exam there is an age criteria also, i.e. if you want to apply for NET JRF then your age must not exceed 30 years. For assistant professor this criteria is not applicable.
Application Fee for General category 1000 Rs., OBC 500 Rs. & ST/SC candidates 250/-. You will need a Debit card/ Credit Card for Payment of application fees if you are filling the form at your own. As per the latest notifications, NTA will start the UGC NET online form submission process from 1st September 2018 and last date will be 30th September 2018. Yes, you can appear for UGC NET JRF exam if you have scored 56% aggregate marks in Masters. Because one of the basic requirement of the exam is that the candidates should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in post graduation.
As you want to apply for JRF NET exam then you have to fulfill age criteria also I. e. your age must not more than 30 years.
NTA has announced the dates of UGC NET December 2018. According to this the exam will be held from 9th Dec to 23rd Dec 2018. The online registration will be started from 1st September and ended up on 30th September 2018.

Yes, you can appear for UGC NET exam in Environment Science. But you have to fulfill the eligibility criteria of NET exam. As per the UGC NET Eligibility Criteria, the candidate who is in the final year of Post-Graduation or have passed his post-graduation should have minimum 55% (For General) or 50% (For ST/SC/OBC/PWD) marks from a government recognized institute to appear for the exam.
