Hello,
National Testing Agency has decided some guidelines for aspirants who want to appear for UGC NET exam. One of these guidelines states that candidates can apply for exam with their post-graduation subject or related to that subject. According to this you can appear in UGC NET with Management subject not for Home Science. As NTA has started the UGC NET 2020 application form process - from 15th March 2020 and it will be continued till 30th June 2020. Hello, Yes, it is necessary to UGC NET Exam to become an Assistant Professor. As per UGC NET Exam guidelines aspirants can apply for the exam with their post graduation subject or related to that. According to your subject, you can apply for UGC NET Electronic Science. You are lucky, the UGC NET 2020 Apply Online process is still in a running way. NTA has started the process from 16th March 2020. Earlier it was ended on 15th April 2020 but due to COVID-19, it has been extended till 30th June 2020. here are the things about UGC NET Fellowship & Registration -
The candidate must join the fellowship within 6 months from date of issue of the award letter. Candidates who registered in Ph.D. /M.Phil. , the fellowship shall commence from the declaration of UGC NET-JRF/CSIR-UGC-NET-JRF result only. The tenure of the fellowship is of five years from date of commencement of UGC Fellowships http://bit.ly/2GiYS6H. Academic Qualification for UGC NET The percentage criteria is given below according to different categories:
1. For General Category Candidates 55% Aggregate Marks in Masters Degree
2. For OBC/SC/ST/PwD Category Candidates 50% Aggregate Marks
3. Ph.D. Degree Holders (Before 19th September 1991) 50% Aggregate Marks

Hello, To fill the UGC NET Application Form, you need to have the following documents ready:
1. Government ID proof like Aadhar Card, Passport, Ration Card.
2. Scanned Passport size Photograph & Signature.
3. Documents that confirm your UGC NET Educational Qualification like Marksheet of Master's degree. Apply as soon as possible and start preparing for the exam. Not much time is left for it.
