As per the NTA guidelines, aspirants who have qualified master's degree or are enrolled in the post-graduation, can apply for the exam. So, to appear for the exam, firstly you have to enroll in LL. M. degree. Before applying for the exam make sure you fulfill other requirements also. To appear for the exam, you have to score at least 55% aggregate marks for General/OBC category or 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PwD category in the post-graduation. The UGC NET Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency to select the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship. A candidate who wish to appear for UGC NET 2019 conducted by NTA must satisfy all the defined standards. NTA UGC NET Eligibility includes Age limit & educational qualification. Check the Age Limit for Lectureship & Assistant Professor

UGC net is country one of the toughest examinations. Even after the best preparations, many candidates may not appear in the examination due to the eligibility factors.
