Highest salaries are generally in the range of 20-25 LPA at VIT University. These packages are mostly offered by IT companies to CS/IT students. The least package will be around 3 LPA
In VIT companies are divided into 3 categories: Super dream, Dream and Normal ones. Super Dream are those companies who offer CTC more than 10LPA and Dream Companies are those which offer 4-10LPA (sometimes VIT categorizes comapanies who offer less than 4 LPA as dream based on some t & c).
This year VIT has almost got 15+ Super Dream companies which have offered jobs to almost 100-150 students easily. Most of the other companies which come for

The fee structure at VIT depends on your rank. The regular fee for computer science engineering is 2,00,000/- per annum. But if your rank is more, you will get CSE at Vellore in category 2,3,4, or 5. Means, the fee will increase by 100000 for each category. higher the category higher the fee structure.
So, if you have a good rank, then you will get the regular fee.

As per your rank, CSE is beyond your horizon, you may get lower branches there.

As per your rank, CSE is a bit tough for you, but wait till the counselling, you may get a seat in the category 3,4 or 5.

As you have said that, you have dropped a year so, if you drop another year, it may harm as, university and companies may question about the gap. I would suggest you to take admission in VIT.
