VIT University offers a full-time MCA via School of Information Technology & Engineering (SITE). The duration of the programme is two years. The Deemed University, every year, conducts Vellore Institute of Technology Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) to offer admission to the MCA programme. VITMEE is a computer-based test that is held offline at several centres across the country. Final admission is subject to a personal interview (PI) round of the shortlisted candidates.

Yes, VIT Vellore is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with an 'A+' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It was established in 1984 as a self-financing institution called the Vellore Engineering College under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has granted approval to VIT Vellore to conduct various undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the academic year 2022-23. The minimum marks required to get admission at VIT Vellore BTech programme for general category candidates is 60% in PCM and 50% for SC/ST and other category candidates. Hence, If you are a general category candidate then, you do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria required to appear for admission to the VIT BTech course. However, in case of SC/ ST or other category candidate, you are considered to be eligible to appear for the entrance exam and get admission at VIT.
