CSE bioinformatics is the best branch in VIT, if you ask for my personal opinion because of the following reasons: There'll be a very small number of students in the branch, around 100. All the subjects are the same as the CS branch, except 45. And those also don't make much of a difference. Because even the CSE students don't know what these subjects are for. CSE with bioinfo will have 56 bio subjects. And those are also very easy. If you've never studied bio before, don't worry you'll easily score good marks in them. Moreover, Bio faculty members for our branch are very lenient, helpful, and awesome. The best thing is even with fewer pointers you'll get preferred hostel rooms very easily whether it be a boy or girl.
