For all the post graduate courses, there is an entrance exam at VIT called VITMEEE.
They admit students for post graduate courses through VITMEEE scores only.
All the best.

The groups are separated based on the biology major and CSC.
If you take a look at the groups, the group A courses in Vellore will be biotechnology, bioinformatics etc. whereas the group B courses will be mostly CSE, mechanical and ECE.
You need not to select the groups but you have to select the courses and the courses will lead you to the respective groups.
All the best.

As per your rank, CSE is a bit tough for you, but wait till the counselling, you may get a seat in the category 3,4 or 5.
All the best.

The counselling is based on phase 1 and phase 2.
For phase 1 only 1-20000 ranks are called and for phase 2 the ranks till 100000 are called. The categories are given based on the availability of the seats in particular courses.
For Bhopal campus, the ranks till 1,50,000 are called so that you may get a seat at VIT, Bhopal, but with a higher fee. You cannot get CSE at any campus but with a higher fee structure, you may get. Chances are low.
All the best.

As you have said that, you have dropped a year so, if you drop another year, it may harm as, university and companies may question about the gap. I would suggest you to take admission in VIT.
