Automobile engineering is the sub-branch of mechanical engineering, also known as automotive engineering or vehicle engineering. The automobile industry includes automobiles and auto components sectors.
The automobile engineering course caters to the creation and maintenance of automobiles, right from designing the vehicles to manufacturing components, assembling them, testing them for safety, repairing and maintaining. It also enables the engineers to explore new areas, create new avenues in the fields of R&D and develop their talent in new technologies.

Hi Kiran,
Each candidate will be given a specific time. So they should report only at that time. The counselling time maybe for 10-20 minutes for a candidate, but the required fee, which the university asks should be given on the day of counselling.
The people who got ranks between 1-20000 are called for phase 1 counselling and those from 20001-100000 will be called for phase 2 counselling.

Hi Anuj,
This is bothering everyone that why phase 2 counselling is costlier than phase 1.
The difference is that the candidates who secured ranks between 1-20000 are called for phase 1 counselling means that they are easily eligible to get a seat in VIT. They are given lesser fee structure due to the availability of seats.
For phase 2 counselling, ranks from 20001-100000 are called, they are not sure to have a seat but if a seat is available they will get so that you will have to pay more to reserve a seat and those who are called for counselling are not sure to get admission.
The categories given are based on the availability of seats an

Hi Samir,
You have no chances to get VIT as only the students who got ranks between 1-100000 are called for counselling. So try your luck in other exams.
The JEE will announce the cut-off ranks for each NIT in India, so you can know which NIT you can get with your rank. If you are qualified to apply for counselling through www.josaa.nic.in the counselling will be from the second week of June.
All the best.

As per my opinion, if you want to try for private universities, except VIT vellore there are other great options available like GGSIPU, Delhi or Pune universty colleges and various others in Pune where you will get good environment, good exposure and good study culture, good campus placements too. So, dont go for either of them neither NITs of low level nor VIT because, although I am not much aware but campus placements might not be as you expect from a government engineering college and after all culture around you matters the most, which you will get in metro-cities like Delhi or Pune. Choose your branch and location wisely. Give fir

Hi Yashoda,
It is possible to get CSE or biotechnology at VIT-Vellore but you can get only under category 2,3,4 or 5 if you will be called earlier, you can easily get a seat but you might have to pay a little more fee if you don't get admission in category 1.
You can surely get admission, but not under category 1. If you have luck, you may get admission in category 1.
All the best.

Hi Jani,
The admission for your rank is through phase 2 counselling means you will be called a little late. So, you have to pay more fee.
The category is based on the no. of candidates who choose electrical engineering and the other branches of VIT such as Chennai, Bhopal, and Amaravati.
At the counselling, you will have to choose only the available seat means which category is available, you have to go for the available option. It cannot be predicted exactly.
You may get or you may not get admission.
The no.of seats available will be updated on the official website of VIT.

So, you can refer to the website from the day 1 c

Hi Kiran,
You cannot get VIT-Vellore, but if you go through category 4 or 5 you may need to pay more fee.
You can get VIT-Amravati and Bhopal easily. You can get VIT-Chennai also but your desired course will be available only at a higher fee.
Attend the counselling, you have a seat at VIT.
All the best.
