I should tell you one thing if you are going to VIT then do not take admission in the Vellore campus. Yes you will get CSE and IT in category 1 or 2 in Chennai and CAT 2 or 3 in Vellore. Departments like mechanical are even easier, so do not worry much. Do not pay attention to academic counselors they just spam the answers with their telephone numbers and dirty tricks.

A few things you must keep in mind that CSE category 2 will be gone within half an hour of the phase 2 counseling so be there on time or may be before the time. I can guarantee you if you go for phase 2, you will be the first person getting category 2 in phase 2.
