Dear Aspirant, Your rank is not suitable for any of the campuses if you desire to grab computer Science branch. You need much lower rank to do so. You may get other branches but getting computer Science with this rank is very tough. I recommend you to give other state exams and try your luck. Work hard and you will get your desired branch for sure. https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/viteee-college-predictor

State topper means the top scorer of the state board examination. Suppose exam conducted for 1000 marks and the highest score is 990. Then student with 990 marks will be the topper. It may be more than one also if other students have also scored same marks. But in the competitive exam ranking may change even though two people get the same marks. Like in the IIT entrance exam, they give weightage to particular subject wise marks followed by age and many other factors they had included to differentiate.

CSE usually gets over within 40k rank at both the campuses. One of my brothers friend got rank of 43977 but wasn't able to get cse.

You cannot get admission in VIT without giving VITEEE exam. For management seats also, it is compulsory to give VITEEE Exam.

Hello Archisman Das, if I may say so you are ranking is not all that good if you are interested in getting admission in the branch of CSE in any campus. This is so because almost every student gives this branch as the first choice and as a result the cutoffs are very stiff. However to help you I am attaching a link that can predict the branch and the college that you can get with this ranking

Yes you will get CSE in category 1. But seeing the situation it is possible that the seats might get filled. You can keep IT or CSE specialisation as a backup.
