You cannot get admission in VIT without giving VITEEE exam. For management seats also, it is compulsory to give VITEEE Exam.

This is so because almost every student gives this branch as the first choice and as a result the cutoffs are very stiff. Hello Chidambra, I must say that your ranking is quite good and with this ranking you should get any branch that you desire. But then every student desire to obtain CSE or IT as the branch and hence the cutoffs across all the colleges in India for very stiff. Yes you will get CSE in category 1. But seeing the situation it is possible that the seats might get filled. You can keep IT or CSE specialisation as a backup.

There is no particular cutoff at VIT Vellore. But yes with the rank of around 2k, you can get easily CSE. Otherwise you can surely go for other branches at Vellore campus.

It would be tough to get CSE in Vellore campus, but yes you can get in Chennai campus.

See it is difficult to get CSE in Vellore campus, but yes there a slight chance of getting CSE in Chennai campus.

You can get admission in all branches but in the case of CSE maybe you would get a seat in the second category (categories based on fee). In the rest of the branches, you would easily get seats only in the first category.

There is 90% chance that you will get your desired branch in the 1st category but due to the current situation we can't really be sure of anything.
