First of all you have to appear exams like cat/ mat/ xat/ cmat/ atma/ state cet, then with your entrance marks u have to apply different bschools as per your choicen based on your entrance score, academic records u wl b shortlisted in colleges if u meet their eligibility criteria and u have to appear their wat/ca/gd/pi round. To take admission in B.Tech in any state, you will have to appear for LEET entrance exam conducted by each state universities. Moreover, some deemed university also conduct their own entrance exam.

There is no degree which can help you to become Software architect directly. You are advised to do B.Tech CSE. If you are technically excellent you will able to progress to an Architect level in 8 to 10 years with experience and on the job technical courses.

You must take SAT and TOEFL or IELTS to pursue your bachelor degree abroad. Admission requirements are different for every country, university and program. SAT is not mandatory for all countries, it is mostly required if you are planning to study in USA. The counselling is based on phase 1 and phase 2.
For phase 1 only 1-20000 ranks are called and for phase 2 the ranks till 100000 are called. The categories are given based on the availability of the seats in particular courses.
For Bhopal campus, the ranks till 1,50,000 are called so that you may get a seat at VIT, Bhopal, but with a higher fee. You cannot get CSE at any campus but with a higher fee structure, you may get. Chances are low.

If you have secured minimum of 50 percent in graduation, you are eligible. You have to write the entrance exam. You need to get a rank which will make you eligible to take admission is top 50 institutes. There is no point doing MBA other than these top 50 institutes.
Cost depends as FMS costs you few 50,000 and IIMs around 22 lakhs and many colleges between 5 lakhs to 20 lakhs.

To study in USA you must take the SAT, if you prepare from now onwards, you can apply to the universities this year itself and start your classes from next year.
