1. Encyclopedia of Advertising and Public Relations.
2. Any book related to Journalism and Mass Communication. I recommend Arihant but the book has wrong answer keys.
3. Brand Equity supplement, comes in The Economic Times every Friday (I think)

Please go through the following procedure.
Post Graduate Courses (MASTERS DEGREE / PGDAME / PGDEM)
Eligibility- Graduate in any stream from a recognized University.
Submit duly filled Provisional Application Form along with the following Self Attested documents:
-3 passport size photographs.
-Photocopy of class 10th Marksheet.
-Photocopy of class 12th Marksheet.
-Photocopy of Graduation Marksheet & Provisional certificate / Degree.
-(applicable only for candidates applying for MASTERS DEGREE / PGDAME / PGDEM Applicant).
Candidates whose result is awaited, can submit their Exam Hall ticket / Admit Card.
Experience Certificates (if any).

My suggestion for you is to opt for Masters degree in journalism and mass communication. Here you will get all the subjects in your interest area. Later you will get the chance to add specialisation in advertising or media or event management.
