The management quota fee in MSRIT for a course like Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science Engineering (CSE) would vary. The average management quota fee was higher than the regular fee, between INR 2.5 Lacs to INR 3.5 Lacs per year for all courses and all years of academic study. No, usually GATE scores are required by IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) to get into the M.Tech Aerospace program, though this might vary according to some criteria set by the institute. Sometimes, candidates who have passed a B.Tech in an appropriate branch with good grades are taken on direct interviews or through other selection processes, but that happens rarely. One must frequently check the IIST website or the admissions office for information about the current requirements and any exceptions to those requirements.

Mostly for a B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), admission is done through the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions). In other words, it considers HSC board marks in the state of Tamil Nadu itself. GUJCET is not accepted. If you are from Gujarat, then you have more options of applying under the NRI/management quota or other national level tests such as JEE Main.
