A Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree programme is available at the undergraduate level at Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies & Research in Architecture and Interior Design (SMAID). The fundamental requirements for admission to SMAID's B.Arch programme are that candidates must have scored 50% in their 10+2 coursework with mathematics, chemistry, and physics from any accredited board. Candidates who have passed the NIOS (10+2) *with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (*Foundation certificate courses, held at the Institute level) are also eligible, according to an additional alternative criterion. Candidates who graduated from an accredited university with mathematics as a compulsory subject for their 10+3 Diploma should have scored 50%.

Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies & Research in Architecture and Interior Design SMAID offers an UG level Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course. The duration of the course is 5 years (Full Time). The basic eligibility criteria for joining B.Arch at SMAID is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as Compulsory Subject with 50% marks from any recognised board. Another alternate criteria is that candidates who have passed NIOS (10+2) *with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (*Foundation certificate courses, conducted at the Institute level) are also eligible. Candidate who have passed 10+3 Diploma with mathematics as compulsory subject with 50% marks from recognised university can also apply.

Jamia Millia Islamia-Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics (FAE-JMI) accepts scores from two entrance exams for admission to its B.Arch. program:

• National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)
• Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Paper-2

Both exams assess your aptitude and skills in various areas relevant to the field of architecture, including:

• Drawing and sketching: Ability to represent spatial ideas and objects accurately and creatively.
• Mathematics: Understanding of geometry,  trigonometry,  and other mathematical concepts used in design and construction.
• Physics: Knowledge of mechanics, statics,  and other physical principles applied in building design.
• General knowledge and awareness: Understanding of current events,  social issues,  and environmental concerns related to architecture.

While FAE-JMI accepts scores from both NATA and JEE Main Paper-2, they consider NATA scores more relevant to the B.Arch. program. This is because NATA specifically focuses on architectural aptitude, whereas JEE Main Paper-2 includes a broader range of subjects.
