Incase you wish to look for more engineering options, I would recommend computer science engineering with my personal experience. It has a lot of scope. Top colleges for CSE are :

Automobile or automotive engineering is recognised and is deemed important for motor vehicles for transporting the passengers. Many students are interested in pursuing automobile engineering. Nowadays there is a great demand for automobile engineers. This branch deals with the designing, developing, testing, repairing, manufacturing and servicing automobiles.
But, I would suggest, you should opt for other sectors that have a high demand in India such as oil and gas, cyber security and cloud computing.

You can pursue BE after your Diploma. For entry requirements you must check the college websites as they differ. International applicants must also give the IELTS or TOEFL. SAT or ACT is not mandatory but you may take the tests if you are targeting a top university. Tuition fee for engineering may range from $14,000 to $30,000 per year.
