B.Tech automobile engineering followed by M.Tech is the best educational qualifications to become an automobile engineer. In case, you want to become a designer, then certifications on CAD and CAM will be added advantage. If you want to be a production engineer in automobile industry, ERP certifications on production management or materials management are good value added qualifications.

Automobile or automotive engineering is recognised and is deemed important for motor vehicles for transporting the passengers. Many students are interested in pursuing automobile engineering.
