Aviation and aeronautics are both fields that deal with flying and aircraft. Aeronautics is generally taught as a subset or concentration in aerospace engineering. Aeronautics is the science of flight, including the design, construction, and the laws of physics which govern it, while aviation is the operation of heavier-than-air aircraft and the industry, commerce, regulation, and usage that surrounds it.

B.Tech or BE in Aeronautical engineering or Aerospace engineering is one and the same. B.Tech in avionics is the study of various airborne systems provided onboard which help it to fly. B.Tech aircraft maintenance engineering is misnomer. It's actually a three year B.Sc. Course in AME.
