If you are in general categories, then chances will be 50-50. They keep you in waiting list. And, you have to wait, but if you are in OBC/SC/ST category, then definitely you will get admission.

Hi,Yes, you can. The criteria stands that if you score 60% and above, you'll get admission directly; if not, then you need to sit for the entrance exam, which requires for you to get 50% marks in your semester exams. So, you'll get admission directly.

There seems to be some confusion in your mind. Normally speaking, distance education means that you will not be joining any college but studying in your free time at home. You need only to download brochure cum application form, fill it up and submit online. You get registered and the process begins. That's all.
