Candidates with a BEd can be considered for the SGT position. They need to undergo a 6-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognised by the NCTE within 2 years of their appointment as Secondary Grade Teachers.

The candidates need to clear Andhra Pradesh EdCET exam to get admission in Andhra University. All Candidates with

• BBM
• BCA with Social Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject
• BA Special English

are also eligible.

The candidates complete graduation with at least 50% marks and 45% for reserved categories. They need to clear the APEdCET and to be eligible

• the minimum age is 19
• a permanent resident in the state.

The course duration via Andhra Pradesh EdCET for BEd course is 2 years.
