IGNOU conducts its own entrance examination for admission to Bachelor of Education (BEd) program. The IGNOU BEd cutoff for 2026 is 78–90 marks for the General AI category. − Includes specific components like:
• Library security (refundable)
• Exam fee
• Registration and eligibility charges
This kind of structure is seen in official college fee schedules that list fees per semester. 

Another college might have a total 1st semester fee around ₹57,700 with fees broken down into items like admission fee, tuition, library, identity card, sports, development and exam fees.

IGNOU prescribes the exam pattern of its BEd entrance exam and mentions it in its official notification. As per the exam pattern, the test is of two-hour duration exam. The exam is conducted in offline mode. The question paper includes 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark. Questions in the IGNOU BEd entrance test will be asked in both Hindi and English.

IGNOU BEd Entrance Exam include 100 MCQs of 100 marks that candidates need to complete in two hours. Candidates will get +1 for every correct answer. There is no negative marking for an incorrect or a question left unanswered in the exam.
