With WBJEE 2024, if you are assigned the CS branch at GCECT, then it is possible to take JU or CU in Round2 only that highly competitive. That will be depend on your rank and seats availability. The minimum cutoffs for CS are generally high in JU and CU, so it all depends on whether or not your rank is close to last year's cutoff. Check the official WBJEE counseling notifications keeping in mind seat availability and cutoffs, and participate actively in Round 2.

Hi,

When it comes to tech fields,  BTech CS (Computer Science Engineering) and BCA  (Bachelor of Computer Applications) are popular options. But when it comes to placements, there are some key differences to consider:

FactorBTech CSBCA
Course DepthMore in-depth coverage of computer Science fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and hardware.Focuses on application development and software skills.
DurationTypically 4 years full-timeTypically 3 years full-time
SpecializationsOften offers various specializations within CS (e.g., AI, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity)Limited specialisation options compared to BTech CS.
PlacementGenerally enjoys better placement opportunities, especially for core CS roles and higher starting salaries.Placements can be good, but may be for a slightly narrower range of IT and software development positions.
SuitabilityIdeal for those seeking a comprehensive understanding of computer Science for a wide range of tech careers.Well-suited for those who want to focus on practical software development skills and enter the workforce faster.

Hope it resolved your query !

The previous year category cutoff rank in NIT Surat was 19361 in Civil Engineering. While the AIR rank was 353269.  So, the chances of getting NIT Surat are very low. Similar chances of getting IIIT Vadodara are also very low.
