If you are scoring a rank in between 15 thousand to 20 thousand, you will be eligible.
In terms of numbers, it may be 200 to 250 marks.

You can get admission there through JEE Mains or MHCET.

Any degree from recognized university can apply for UPSE. You have to work hard as IAS is a public service, you have to analyses the humanity subject well. IAS exam is the top competing exam, you have to study everything. If you are excellent in engineering subject, you can choose that as your optional. You can also choose other subjects like:
1. Public administration.
2. History.
3. Geography.
4. Political Science.
5. Economics.
6. Mathematics.
7. Sociology.
8. Philosophy, etc.
