Yes, you can. As per the eligibility criteria any student with a minimum of 50 percentage is eligible for an admission in Chandigarh university for B.Tech CS.

No, the lateral entry is not possible in IIT and NIT, it is only possible In regional government and national private college.

Yes, it is absolutely possible, but as per the branch, that you can have only on the basis of the results of your Diploma, as the branch is given on the basis of the merit list.

Yes, you can apply for an admission but due to 1 backlog your provisional admissions will be done. Whereas your backlog result should be provided before august to confirm admission.
