B.Tech in food technology is not a very old branch and due to this students hesitate to select this. However, with modern lifestyle and requirement of new generation of eating quality and nutritious food, employment chances have increased quite a bit. Yes, you can do B.Tech after Diploma. You can get admission to 2nd year of B.Tech course directly as you have completed Diploma course. The general admission process in most of the institutes is on the basis of entrance tests. There are several state level and national level engineering entrance tests. Although some institutes provides direct admission on merit based on qualifying exam.
