As per the information available on GITAM college website the admissions in B.Tech programs are based on the performance of GAT (UGTP) an entrance test. Further, 60% marks are required in PCM and aggregate at class 12th level. Hence, GITAM does not offers admission to engineering Diploma holders.

Yes, there exists an entrance exam for B.Tech part time courses.

Yes, you can get admission in Biotechnology stream with PCB course. It won't be an issue for you keeping your branch as a selection criterion.

Following are the age requirements:
1. 21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates,
2. 21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates and
3. 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates.
And Eligibility for B.tech Lateral Entry : There are no such specific rules exclusively for Lateral Entry students. The university has the same set of rules and regulations for everyone. The only difference that a regular student and Lateral entry student from the academic perspective is the fee structure.
