To get admission in RV College of Engineering (RVCE), Bangalore, on the basis of your JEE Main rank, you must go through the admission procedure of the college. RVCE takes JEE Main ranks for B.Tech admissions under the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) and the COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) counseling.

Manipal University Jaipur and Thapar University are both good universities, but the latter tends to rank higher in general and more particularly for the case of engineering programs. It has a stronger industry interface, research exposure, and faculty excellence that makes the latter a safer option for studying B.Tech in Biotechnology.

With a CRL (Common Rank List) of 858,390 and an OBC (Other Backward Classes) rank of 332,295 in JEE Mains, admission to a government college for a B.Tech in Information Technology (IT) is not feasible. Historically, cutoffs for government colleges are way lower, especially for popular branches like IT, and can ask for much higher ranks.

But cutoff ranks vary every year based on available seats, reservation in the category, and number of applicants. Look for the latest cutoff information on the official website of JEE Mains counseling (JoSAA) and visit private college as well.
