The IIT Delhi application process for BTech generally starts with JEE Main registrations. IIT Delhi’s BTech admission is based on the JEE Advanced score obtained by JEE Main-qualified candidates. The step-wise application process of IITD for BTech and BTech-MTech (dual degree) courses is given below:

Step 2: The admission brochure, admission pamphlet and prospectus can be downloaded from this page. Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button to proceed further.

Placements: At my college, the placement is excellent, as I myself got placed at Microsoft. The percentage of student placed is 98% The highest package goes to INR 20 lacs and the lowest goes to INR 9 lacs per annum. The average placement is INR 13 lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: The course is so easy if you are an average student. It is as interesting for me as it can be for you as well. The Physics Department is so helpful and supportive. The Physics Department is open for 24 hours. So you can keep working on your project, as it is so amazing.

Faculty: The faculty is so supportive, basically all physics professors. If you call them late at night, they will pick up your call to solve your queries, so they are very supportive, very knowledgeable, and very kind. The quality of their teaching is awesome.

Good placement and campus life.

Placements: I am currently enrolled in a course so I can't talk about the placements but I have heard that average package is of 10LPA in any branch. Actually, most of the students here wanted to open a startup or they are preparing for government. Exams. They do not want package under 10LPA.

Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi available on the campus and the campus is huge by itself and hostels are pretty average here can't complain about them and the food here in udaigiri hostel is really good. The hostel life is something that everyone should experience.

Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and every professor here has a different personality and vibe. We love to spend some time with them. The textile department is required for every department present till now. The students are obviously industry ready. The semester exams are really difficult and it is hard to pass but vary from student to student.

Placements: 80% of students are placed. Others were placed on campus or went for higher studies in the USA. The highest is 1crore, the lowest is 10 LPA, and the Average is 13 LPA. Top recruiters: Samsung, Google, Microsoft, Deloitte. 50% of students got internships. The top roles are Consultant, Executive Manager, Product Manager, software developed, etc.

Infrastructure: Fully air-conditioner labs, classrooms and library. Elegantly designed with modern architecture. The labs have equipment worth crores. Strong 24*7 Wi-Fi network. The library is open for 19 hours. Good hostel facilities. Good food in mess and canteen. Free medicine from IITD hospital. Mittal Sports Complex has excellent facilities.

Faculty: All professors are highly experienced and they are Ph.D. holders from the US or IITs, IISc. The curriculum is flexible and makes students industry-ready. The Semester examinations are moderate to difficult just like JEE. 95% of Professors teach you to the finest details.

Other: This course gives you ample time to do coding, extra-curriculars, etc. We have many fests and events throughout the year. Rendezvous, Tryst-technology fest, Beacon, Kaizen, BRCA nights, and OCS fest are conducted in my college. The campus is big. Good environment and location. Well connected to all important places in Delhi via IIT Metro Station and IIT Bus Stand and auto. IIT Delhi is the most cosmopolitan IIT being located in the most luxurious area of Delhi. Many scholarships were available for low-income groups. There are enough clubs- Dance, Music, Debating, Drama, Quizzing, Design, Physics and Astronomy, Economics, etc.

Inside IIT DELHI : A student's perspective.

Placements: More than 90% of students get placed in this course, and the highest package, I'm not sure, but from seniors, we heard of INR 1.5 CR, an average of INR 20 LPA, and a minimum of INR 6 LPA, as this is the most prestigious college in India. NIRF ranking 2 as in 2023 so this is the basic scenario here.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24 hours a day. Wi-Fi and library are available from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. and 24*7 during exam hours. The classrooms are excellent. The quality of mess food is not bad, but not the best. It is decent, but it depends on all the hostels. Sports facilities are the best ones here.

Faculty: Professors are excellent here, providing perfect knowledge and being very helpful. No words for course curriculum; it's perfect, and the teaching is 10 out of 10. If you want to just pass the semester, then it's very easy, but if you want to top it, it's very difficult here.

My Experience of IIT Delhi.

Placements: Here more than 250 companies came for recruitment for all branches. Here the placement scenario is about 80- 90%. Generally facebook, google and microsoft offers a very nice package. The average package is 7.5 - 8 lacs per year. Some of companies are TATA motors, jindal steel, yamaha motors, eicher tractors etc.

Infrastructure: I want to pursue mechanical engineering, but my rank didn't satisfy the cut off for this branch in IIT Delhi so I took a similar departmental branch. The faculty are highly qualified done Masters and Ph.D. from foreign universities in their fields. Hostel facilities are average. Meal quality is okay. The hostel is randomly assigned to freshers.

Faculty: All teachers are very helpful for students. They are very knowledgeable. Teaching quality in IIT Delhi is very good. Semester exams are quite difficult. I got admission through clearing JEE Main and JEE Advanced and satisfied my branch cutoff. All study material is available in library.
