The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) at IIT Roorkee other than General category are - 5783 for OBC, 3162 for SC, 1382 for ST, 2804 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
IIT Roorkee BTech fee is INR 8 lakh. Apart from this, students are required to pay the JEE Main application fee which is INR 625 (for boys) and INR 325 (for girls). For JEE Advanced, the application fee ranges from INR 1,400 to INR 2,800 for different category students.
IIT Roorkee admission to its flagship courses BArch and BTech is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced Counselling. For admission, students are required to apply for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced for admission to IIT Roorkee BTech. The aspirants must fill out the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in).
Followed by JEE Main, students are required to register for JEE Advanced. Next, candidates have to fill in the registration form, upload scanned certificates, and pay the application fee. The photo and signature in the online JEE Advanced application form will already be populated from the JEE Main application form.
In the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, a student gets his/her tuition fee waived as per the following criteria.
Full Tuition Fee Waiver– Offered to the most economically backward students having a family income of less than INR 1 LPA during the previous financial year or current assessment year.
2/3 Tuition Fee Waiver– Offered to economically backward students having a family income in the range of INR 1 LPA to INR 5 LPA during the previous financial year or current assessment year
The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is available only for the normal duration of the programme. For dual degree programmes, it is available only up to the 4th year.

IIT Roorkee BTech course admission are based on JEE Advanced. Each of the stages in the IIT Roorkee admission procedure is explained below.

1. Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in) and click on the ‘Registration for JEE (Main) 2025’ link.
2. Fill out the registration form with the required information, followed by clicking on the submit button.

Before the JEE Main 2025 registration process, students must keep the following documents and information ready for a smooth application process.
- Valid email-id and mobile number
- Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
- Scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned copy of the PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTA
- Net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI details for application fee payment

2. Release of Cutoff List
Once the JEE Main results are announced, the cutoff list is released to declare the minimum qualifying marks required for selection. The cutoff marks vary for each of the BTech specialisations.
3. JoSAA Counselling
Candidates who meet the minimum cutoff have to take part in the JoSAA counselling. For each round of counselling, a separate cutoff list is released. It is carried out until all the seats are filled. Further, if the seats are left vacant after these rounds of counselling, then those are filled through CSAB counselling.
4. Reporting for Admission
Those who are offered admission must report to the institute with original copies of academic and personal details. After that, they must submit the fees.

Based on the Round 5 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 481 and, 7286 for the General AII India category students. In the year 2015, the highest package offered was 25 Lacs per annum and the average package was 10.55 Lacs per annum. This year the highest placement for ECE is 16 LPA. The placement drive is still going on, so stats may fluctuate.
