The best degrees to get into government colleges:
#1 Public Administration. Getting into government work is often made easier if you have a public administration background.
#2 International Relations.#3 Business Administration.
#4 Economics.
#5 Political Science.#6 Public Health.#7 Public Policy.

No benefits will be given for other degree. As per UGC guidelines, two degree courses cannot pursue together in regular mode. However, one distance degree can be done with regular degree. So technically, you cannot pursue two degrees together in regular mode.

UPSC is a very tough field to study and crack. Because you have selected for UPPSC so your further study of B.Tech will be stopped. There will be certain probation period time during which you cannot pursue any kind of regular course.

Normally speaking, a student chooses Diploma when need for early job is perceived. Diploma is actually a skill imparting course. If you can afford to spend money for your studies then I would advise you to go for lateral admission in course for graduation in engineering. However if there is a financial constraint then I suggest you take up some job immediately after completion of Diploma and then after couple of years think of doing graduation in engineering. You can also do AMIE which is equivalent to graduation in engineering for all practical purposes. Best wishes to you.

You have to write VITEEE exam to get into VIT and give your best to score good marks so that you can easily get admission there.

B.Tech in ECE from VIT should be your priority as they have a good placement record with the highest packages.

Definitely, mechanical being an applied branch is better. CSC is a tool training so you need value addition after B.Tech.

For civil engineering, VIT is good in terms of placement, but if you want to choose SRM it is also having a good academic exposure and nice teaching environment.
