Nancy,
To get into top colleges you need to score well. I would suggest you to take the exam again and study hard this time. To get admission into top colleges, you need at least 80 percentile in your exam.
You may look up to other entrances like MAT, SNAP, XAT, etc. as well as it will open doors to more number of colleges. Concentrate more on your preparation with the aim to crack the next with a much higher score.
To score good you need to clear your basic concepts, work on your vocabulary, develop the habit of reading, reasoning skills can be improved by solving puzzles, practice a lot, once you know your strengths and weaknesses, go

If you expecting more than 95 percentile in your CAT exam than you should opt for:
1. IIM's.
2. FMS.
3. S.P.Jain.
4. Xaviers, etc.

CAT score is not enough for TAPMI and 83 for SIMB Pune is also too low.

Arpit, you have very good chances of getting shortlisted for Nirma on basis of past year trends. So you must apply for Nirma.

Sorry Sir, but keeping in mind last year trends of Nirma for shortlisting, cutoff are pretty high compare to your son score. It is difficult to get him in on basis of interview process.

Vedant, Nirma does not accept XAT scores and CAT cutoff for the campus last year was 80%ile and last to last it was 85%ile.

According to past trend, you stand pretty high chances of getting shortlisted and if you perform good in GD PI even to get selected for MBA FT program. So you must apply for Nirma.
