Hello Jatin, You can get 80% in class 10 CBSE Boards by following way -
1. Select the right time to start preparing for board exams.
2. Good timetable will make the preparations easy.
3. Sufficient time should be devoted to self-study
4. Make a strategy to learn long answers for the board exam.
5. Practicing previous years question papers prepares you better for the upcoming challenge. Solve CBSE Sample Papers.

Not bad if you want to improve your 12th aggregate score. But first give priority to the B.Tech CGPA/ Percentage because of placements. Yours 12th marks will not matter here.
