Using ; pOH = l o g 1 0 [ O H ]  

l o g 1 0 1 0 3

pOH = 3

pH = 14 – pOH

pH = 14 – 3

Initial volume, V1 = 10L

Final volume, V2 = 20 L

Using;

Work done; w = -2.303 nRT log10   V 2 V 1

= 2 . 3 0 3 * 5 * 8 * 3 0 0 l o g 1 0 2 0 1 0 J                

= -8630 J

So, magnitude of work done is 8630 J.

A. n = 3   l = 3 m l = 3  is incorrect as l  can not be equal to n.

B. n = 3   l = 2   m l = -2 is correct set.

C. n = 2   l = 1 m l = +2 is incorrect set as  l can not be equal to n.

So; correct set of quantum numbers is B and C.
