As far as I know and observed all the branches are equally good. Placements at LPU is a major known factor and the preparations for it start soon after joining classes at LPU itself and the students are guided until and unless they secure a job for themselves. To get placed in some company I would say it depends on your potential also. LPU provides ample opportunity for all students. As per my observance engineering at LPU is well known for its placements packages, then management and then any other course placements are rated. Certainly, LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, the number of admissions in the CSE department has been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. The average package of the university is around 5 Lacs per annum and the highest package offered to a student of LPU in 2019-20 was Rs. 42 Lacs per annum. It was bagged by a student of B.Tech. CSE student only. Take your decision wisely and one more thing note down that thinking of placements first and then choosing any course is not a better way to think, instead, think of course/programme you are interested in first as per your keen interest. Your knowledge, academics performance, hard work and exposure will pay you back when you appear for on-campus placements with the worthy outcome that what I believe. Hope the above information helps. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai controls institute through its Regional office at Pune. So being a government engineering college of Maharashtra, This is very good place for pursuing Civil Engineering course. The cutoff of asked course is varying according to categories, however for general open home university category (GOPENH), the ranks below 10000 can be safe for getting admission here.
