If you wants to go in teaching profession than M.Tech will be the right option because this will enhance your confidence level and teaching skills. Apart from GATE, there are many Institutes offering M.Tech courses through their own entrance exams like GGSIPU, LPU ( GATE and LPUNEST), VIT, SRMIST, BITS Pilani and Mesra, TIET (With and without GATE). Now a days, most of the engineering graduates are preferring for doing the Management courses from some reputed Business schools for availing the best placement opportunities. Hence you can choose anyone from above as per your interest.

I've provided enough details regarding cutoff to save you plenty of time looking around. Assuming you already know enough about the two exams, I'll just mention important bits to know the difference between the two exams better.
Number of applicants in COMEDK'18: 72,152 (against 20,000 seats, out of which 18733 are reserved for engineering)
Number of applicants in KCET'18: 1,98,639 (against 19942 seats, out of which 16942 are reserved for engineering)
Both exams are different in the following ways:
More competition in KCET, compared to COMEDK.
