What's new at GBU? GBU admission session 2022-23 will commence in March 2022. Gautam Buddha University (GBU) has released its placement statistics for the 2021 batch. As per the latest report, GBU placements 2021 observed the highest package of INR 10 LPA whereas the average package stood at INR 4 LPA. The participating recruiters made over 400 placement offers and successfully placed 163 students.
Gautam Buddha University is a state university that came into existence in 2008. The University is recognised by UGC and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is also accredited by NAAC with B+ grade. The academic programmes are offered through eight schools of learning associated with the University. Currently, the University offers 43 UG, 36 PG, 15 MPhil/ PhD and 14 Diploma/ Certificate courses in multiple streams like Engineering, Management, Law, Science, Social Science, etc. The admission to all the UG, PG and doctoral programmes is based on the entrance test conducted by the University, i.e. GBU-ET.
The University also accepts national-level tests like JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. However, the preference is given to GBU-ET qualified candidates and if the seats remain vacant then the national test scores are taken into consideration. GBU Courses & Fees 2021
Gautam Buddha University offers a wide range of UG and PG courses. Out of all, the University is well known for its four years BTech programme. GBU courses at UG level also include BA (Hons), BCA, BCom (Hons), BSc, BSc (Hons), BArch and BDes. Candidates can also pursue five years integrated courses like BA LLB, BBA LLB, BTech+MTech and BBA+MBA. Apart from these, the University is also popular for PG courses like MBA and MSc, which are offered in five and 11 specialisations, respectively. The other PG courses offered are MA, MTech, MCA, MURP, MArch, BEd and LLM. The duration of all the PG level GBU courses is two years.
The University also offers diploma and certificate courses in 15 specialisations. These diploma and certificate courses are offered on full-time and part-time basis. The duration of each diploma course is one year, whereas, certificate courses are of six months duration. At doctoral level, Gautam Buddha University courses also include MPhil and PhD programmes. The minimum duration to complete a PhD programme is three years and is offered in 13 different specialisations. GBU admission process is completely online. The University conducts its own entrance exam to permit admission in UG, PG and doctoral courses. After the seats are allotted through GBU-ET, if the seats remain vacant then candidates having national-level exam scores like CAT, MAT, JEE Main, GATE, etc are taken into consideration. GBU admission in diploma and certificate courses is on merit-basis (except PG Diploma in Guidance & Counselling and PG Diploma in Forensic Neuropsychology)
The application process for GBU admission takes place online only. Candidates have to visit the admission portal of the University and register themselves followed by filling the application form and application fee payment. A. The application process for all the GBU courses is online. Candidates are required to visit the admission portal of the University and look for the diploma and certificate courses application window.
Q. I have a valid JEE Main score. Can I apply for GBU admission in BTech?
A. Yes, candidates with valid national-level scores can apply. However, preference will be given to GBU-ET candidates. Thereafter, if seats remain vacant then national-level test scores will be considered to fill the remaining seats.
Q. How are the placements at GBU?
A. There is no placement data available on the University's website. As per the information collated from multiple sources, only 30% placement rate was recorded in GBU placement 2020. The University also runs GBU jobs portal in association with FICCI for career counselling.

Wi-Fi facility in all the hostels. Smart classroom. Whole university is online so you can do anything from your mobile. There is no compensation in studies, whenever a teacher on leave then the makeup classes will be arranged for the teacher. There are restriction on teachers also, they also have to take permission for late night entry. Apart from this, LPU also have clubs which will help you to enlighten your talent whether it is in singing, anchoring, acting, dancing or any other. You will get to know about diversity in India.
