I can give the answer of this question from my personal experience. From job point of view, it would be a starting point for you. It will give you a vocational qualification which would be an asset for you. You can enter the industry after Diploma and can earn good salary after years of experience. I have seen many project managers who are simply Diploma holders but with experience they reach to higher designations and attain good salaries. Though, On the other hand, some of the Gulf employers and other UAE companies specifically demand for Degree holders in their job advertisements. So, certainly, you will like to think a

You can either pursue B.Tech lateral entry or can work in industry first as a Civil/ structural Draughtsman and then as a civil site inspector and later on as a site civil engineer. If you are based in India, you can also write government exams for agencies which will allow you to sit as their eligibility criteria. To have a good career, you would need strong educational background. It means getting a qualification from a good/ reputed institution is a must. It's of course good to do civil engineering graduation in UK. The student is then in a better position to get job in UK as compared with students from outside UK. You can even proceed to do your PG also from UK. Job prospects are of course good there. Best wishes to your dreams of doing engineering in UK.

It's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your Diploma in part time mode. Unfortunately, such information is not readily available. However, I can suggest an alternative approach. Find out different Polytechnic colleges in your city, approach them one by one and seek information about part time courses.
