Hi Yashodhan, entry requirements differ from university to university. Some universities require a minimum of 80% in class 12th. You must also take the IELTS or TOEFL. Please check here:

As per the market demand and jobs, you would get more opportunities in civil engineering. Petroleum engineering is a good field and has a good growth but job market comparison to other branches is less specially in India.
