P, Q, R, S, T and U are a group of friends. There are two housewives, one doctor, one army officer, one collector and one policeman in the group. There are only two married couples in the group. The policeman is married to S, who is a housewife. No woman in the group is either an army officer or a collector. R, the collector, is married to U, who is a doctor. P is married to a housewife. T is not a housewife.

I. A resort has 6 rooms – R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6.

Rooms 'R1' and 'R3' can accommodate only two persons each; the rest can accommodate only one person each.

II. Eight persons P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7 and P8 are to live in these rooms. P2, P5, and P8 are females while the rest are males. Persons of different genders can't be put together in the same room.

III. P5 man is willing to live in room R3 or R6.

IV. P1 wants to live alone but doesn't want to live in room R2 or R4.

V. P4 needs a partner but is not ready to live with either P6 or P7.

VI. P8 does not want to share her room.

f(x) = tan^-1 (sin x + cos x)

$a s x \in [0, \frac{π}{2}]$ so 1 $\leq s i n x + c o s x \leq \sqrt[]{2}$

so $f (x) \in [t a n^{- 1} 1, t a n^{- 1} \sqrt[]{2}]$

->M = tan^-1 $\sqrt[]{2} & m = t a n^{- 1} 1 = \frac{π}{4}$

Now, tan (M – m) = tan $(t a n^{- 1} \sqrt[]{2} - \frac{π}{4})$

$= \frac{\sqrt[]{2} - 1}{1 + \sqrt[]{2} . 1} = \frac{\sqrt[]{2} - 1}{\sqrt[]{2} + 1} * \frac{\sqrt[]{2} - 1}{\sqrt[]{2} - 1} = 3 - 2 \sqrt[]{2}$
