Quick guide that will provide all the information you need to know about B.Tech Lateral Entry.
So make sure you read it and take necessary actions as per your choice of colleges.
For Lateral Entry seats in government college's entrance exams is the only way to secure a seat.
However for Lateral entry admission in private colleges apart from entrance exams direct admission through management quota is also possible.
Though diploma engineering courses may help in an early exposure to the job market yet, you may miss out a few opportunities due to lack of a degree.
In this case, you can opt for lateral entry in B.Tech.

Hi,
Because you have already applied for the Talati exam so in my opinion you have to attend the exam for gaining the experience, Further you have to strongly focused on your engineering line and start your preparation for GATE exam. This will help you later in obtaining the higher GATE score, which will help you in admission for PG courses as well as for recruitment in government PSUs.

If you are pursuing B.Tech in electrical engineering, now you have two career options either you can go for M.Tech in particular specialised stream of electrical or you can either pursue MBA also. Both these streams are good and you will get a lot of career opportunities also after pursuing Masters. Both are different fields, you cannot compare them. If you want to pursue M.Sc in physics then do it otherwise go for another option.
