Yes, candidates can get admission in the certificate course at Karmick Institute if I am not from the Engineering or IT background. The institute mentions the same on the official website that the courses are beginner-friendly and candidates from any field can get admission. However, if students have a better understanding of Maths and Computer/ IT, it would help them.

To get admission in B.E. / B.Tech at Muthiammal Engineering College, you have to bypass twelfth widespread with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
For wellknown category, minimal 50% marks are wanted. BC class desires 45%, and SC/ST or MBC students need at the least 40%.
Admission is given through TNEA counseling.
There is no front exam. If you want lateral access into the second one yr, you must have a Diploma in engineering or a B.Sc. Diploma with arithmetic.
The college follows Tamil Nadu government regulations for admission to engineering guides.

As your son has opted for PCB with applied Maths so he is eligible for engineering courses like B.Tech in Biotechnology, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering, and in some private colleges, a CS specialisation in BIO/Health Informatics. These match well with his PCB +math subject combo and have reasonable fee options.

Candidates applying for BBA at Academy of Aviation & Engineering must have passed Class 12 from any recognised board or hold a three-year Diploma in any engineering discipline. The course in this sense accepts both freshers and Diploma holders. The diversity in such courses is generally high compared to others, giving more exposure to students.
