Thapar University-Patiala has very good Placement record in CS dept. A separate Computer department is in process, which has almost all kinds of facility/course/labs related to computer. Average package of Computer Engineering in the year 2016 was around INR 8 Lacs per annum. The highest Package offered (Domestic) was INR 18.5 Lacs per annum (Wallmart and De Shaw) and international package was INR 32 Lacs per annum. Companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, Amazon, Deshaw, etc. visited the university. Placement is almost 100 percent for Computer engineering branch. Studying COE/CSE in Thapar University is a boon itself. The only lack I feel

It depends upon your course/branch.
Like, if you are getting chemical in Thapar University and ECE/CS in Jaypee, then you should go with Jaypee.
Branch matters more than college.
Both are private universities.
If you want to pursue same course, then go for Thapar University.
Thapar University has good placement records and is old private university.
Even, it's NREF ranking is quite ahead of Jaypee.
Best wishes.

Both the courses are good. If you want to be Doctor, I suggest you to go for BAMS. As you have not specified any particular field of Engineering, It is difficult to answer.

Production / Industrial Engineering are pretty much the same disciplines. The areas of study include production systems (batch / mass / etc. ), production planning and management, economics of production systems, optimization and simulation techniques, etc. The supporting core engineering disciplines like engineering design, machine tools, production technology, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, strength of materials, material Science, are all taught as well. Manufacturing Systems Engineering is more often a graduate level course rather than an undergraduate course which focuses on production systems and practices, and their mathematica

Hi,
I am an ex-student of that college (Sudhirian, Batch of 2016, and CSE). Well, If you are there to study and learn, there is some outstanding (and I really mean it) faculty members you will get, who has in-depth knowledge over their area of expertise and amazingly friendly attitude. You can go to them like anytime and ask or discuss. They will always help you. Back then, we had some issues with availability of the books (reference) in library. I am not sure if the situation is still remain same. And, in your final year, you will not get any choice to pick your optional subject. That's something really disappointing. Technically, if y
