Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology is considered as Tier 2 college depending on year to year regional Magazine surveys based on parameters such as the quality of education, quality of the faculty, placement record and quality of infrastructure etc. As much it is not nationally ranked amongst the best engineering colleges on most occasions, it enjoys a fairly good reputation, in some provisions, across the region.
