Hello.
Mechanical engineers research, design, develop, build, and test mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, including tools, engines, and machines. Mechanical engineers typically do the following:
1.) Analyze problems to see how mechanical and thermal devices might help solve a particular problem
2.) Design or redesign mechanical and thermal devices or subsystems, using analysis and computer-aided design.
3.) Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to recommend remedies.
4.) Develop and test prototypes of devices they design. Hope this helps.

Wel, it is the USA because their pay scale is good as compared India but their standard of living is also high like their pay scale. It all depends on you as to where you want to live your life.
