A course in event management would be a degree course with 3 years duration. You can probably do Masters along with it to make it a 5 years course.

Both institutes are equally good when you are it comes to event management. But, NIEM is considered even better that NAEM by the people who are from the same background.

Yes, you can, but if you are looking for a good college and great marks, you probably need to focus more on CAT and devote time. It is advisable to give more mock exams, if you can manage both then you can go ahead.

MBA in event Management is a good course and it has good career scope. The starting package may start from 3 or 3.5 lakh per annum for freshers and it may go up to 6 lakh per annum for experienced professionals. Many branded hotels are recruiting candidates from this course.

Hi Shamilee,
Greetings for the day!
For a successful career in events, it is often suggested to go for hotel management for a graduation since you get to learn hospitality which is 90% of what an event is. Also, during the course, you'd get trained in handling small events in the college itself.

There is no minimum qualification requirement to become an event manager for non-corporate events. Any person with strong organizational skills and excellent PR Skills can organize non-corporate events.
However for organizing corporate events a degree/diploma in event management, PR, tourism, hospitality management, business administration or marketing is a must. This is because corporate events are organized to promote and sell company's products or services or to build/enhance its brand image.
